Infinity Business School assesses the student for every course across four to five points of evaluation throughout the duration of the course. Every course is assigned a requisite credit point along with a prescribed number of direct contact hours. Adequate care is taken to ensure that a student has already been assessed for the prerequisite courses before subscribing a particular course.
A typical course structure would include evaluation points such as regular (surprise and announced ) quizzes and tests, case study analysis, mid term examination, role play / presentation, report / paper writing and an end term examination. This ensures an optimal all through evaluation with a comparatively less focus on the end term evaluation alone leading to a continuous learning and evaluation.
Like in most progressive Business Schools across the globe, A system of grade points is used to determine a student’s general average or standing. Grades are reported at the end of each course and posted with the student's number approximately 2 weeks after the examination or the deadline for the project.
Grade points are assigned to letter grades for each unit of course credit as per the following 10-point scale:
KEY TO THE GRADE POINT AVERAGE SYSTEM
The marks scored by students in each of their subjects are assigned a letter grade and subsequently a Grade Point Average (GPA). These GPA conversions are done at the end of the trimester. The Grade points are assigned to letter grades for each unit of course credit as per the following 10-point scale:
|Grade||GPA||Score (%)||Read As|
The CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) is calculated at the end of the trimester on basis of GPA in each subject and the credit (weight) attached to that subject. The final CGPA for the program is the average of the CGPA scored in the three trimesters.
A minimum cumulative grade-point average of 4.5 is required to complete the program.
